personal health struggles

cancer. The Duchess of York, who has been undergoing treatment for breast and
skin cancer, delivered her remarks during a moving appearance at the Foreign
Sisters’ Lunch in support of Cancer Research UK.
Amid her ongoing health journey, Sarah shared a series of photos from the
event and posted an emotional statement, echoing sentiments similar to those
expressed by the King since his cancer diagnosis earlier this year.
“There’s something so powerful about a room united by compassion, courage and
a shared mission, and you could really feel it throughout,” she wrote.
Fergie, who is mother to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, said cancer
had “touched [her] life personally,” mirroring King Charles’s own reflections
as he undergoes treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer announced in
February 2024.
Her words also revealed a sense of shared resilience between the two senior
royals, as she praised the efforts of Cancer Research UK and its Future
Leaders Programme:
“Seeing the incredible work being done… fills me with hope for the
breakthroughs of tomorrow.”
She closed her message with gratitude for the Foreign Sisters community:
