Queen Camilla celebrates charity milestone with a solo visit

Royal highlights community work in Wiltshire after Wimbledon appearance

Queen Camilla stepped out alone on Thursday, July 10, to celebrate the 50th
anniversary of the Wiltshire Community Foundation, which has been renamed the
Wiltshire and Swindon Community Foundation to reflect its expanded regional
role.

The Queen visited Wellington Barn, where she met with representatives from
several supported charities, including Growbaby, All Yours Period Box, and
Changing Suits. Before concluding the event, she cut a celebratory cake and
stopped by an ice cream van run by Joanna Weaver, a recipient of the
foundation’s backing.

Her visit spotlighted a wide range of local efforts—from wellness-focused
Smart Mushrooms to the Platform Project, which supports disadvantaged youth in
gaining vital job skills. The occasion paid tribute to the foundation’s five
decades of service to communities across Wiltshire and Swindon.

The royal appearance came just a day after Queen Camilla made a surprise solo
visit to Wimbledon, where she chatted with long-serving staff and watched
Novak Djokovic defeat Italy’s Flavio Cobolli on Centre Court.
