Royal grace, grit, and influence earn top spot on Tatler’s 2025 Social
Power Index
After a challenging year marked by personal trials and public service, Prince
William and Princess Catherine have received a new honor—being named the most
socially powerful people in Britain by Tatler magazine.
The Prince and Princess of Wales topped Tatler’s 2025 Social Power Index, with
the society magazine praising them as more than future monarchs. They’re
described as “dream dinner guests” and “the most influential in the land.”
Much of the acclaim is directed at Princess Catherine’s quiet strength during
her recent health battle. “There’s much to admire about the royal couple,” the
magazine noted, “especially the grace and grit displayed by Catherine after
her cancer diagnosis.”
The royal couple’s down-to-earth interests—like their mutual love for tennis
and nature, and Prince William’s loyalty to Aston Villa—only added to their
appeal. “They will have a kingdom to run in due course,” Tatler added, “which
makes them the No.1 couple to have at your table.”
Joining them in the top five of the power ranking were Maro Itoje and his wife
Mimi, Princess Dora Loewenstein, and the Hornby family. Meanwhile, David and
Victoria Beckham and Sir David Attenborough followed closely behind.
This recognition follows the couple’s inclusion in TIME’s 100 Most Influential
People in Philanthropy, where they were commended for their “modern royal
agenda” and efforts to align charitable work with social impact and business
strategy.
As the future King and Queen continue to navigate both public expectations and
personal challenges, their influence—and admiration for their resilience—only
continues to grow.
