Royal Mint releases historic tribute celebrating a lifetime of duty and
devotion
Princess Anne has received a royal honour that’s already winning the hearts of
fans across the country. To mark her 75th birthday, The Royal Mint has
released the first-ever official UK coin dedicated to the Princess Royal—a
historic tribute recognising her decades of service to the Crown.
Dubbed the “Anne-iversary coin,” the commemorative £5 piece has sparked an
outpouring of admiration online. Royal watchers have hailed the release as a
well-deserved nod to one of the monarchy’s most hard-working and respected
figures.
The design—personally approved by Princess Anne herself—features a dignified
portrait of the King’s sister, styled in her signature swept-up bouffant and
adorned with the sparkling Aquamarine Pineflower Tiara. Surrounding her image
is the inscription:
“The Princess Royal Celebrating 75 Years Duty and Devotion.”
Almost immediately after its unveiling, the coin drew enthusiastic praise on
social media.
One royal fan wrote, “Love, love, love this! So well deserved! Another fab
example of a life of service in honour, dignity and grace! Rock on, Princess
Royal!”
Another added, “Wonderful! And so well deserved!”
And a third echoed the sentiment, saying, “She’s an absolute treasure and a
shining example of true strength and selfless service to others. I hope I can
add this to my collection.”
As Princess Anne prepares to celebrate her milestone birthday on August 15,
this tribute serves not only as a celebration of her personal achievements but
as a lasting symbol of her dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment
to royal duty.
With fans already calling for “75 more,” the Princess Royal’s impact clearly
remains as enduring as ever.
