The Royal Family is proudly celebrating Princess Anne after a week of
recognition, regal elegance, and royal duty that left fans affectionately
referring to her as “The Queen.”
On July 16, the 74-year-old Princess Royal stepped out in a striking cobalt
blue wrap dress to attend the Military Musical Spectacular: Heroes at Horse
Guards Parade in London. Her poised appearance, shared in official photos by
Buckingham Palace, quickly drew admiration online—especially from fans who saw
in her the spirit and dignity of her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The Palace captioned the post:
“Last night on Horse Guards Parade, The Princess Royal attended the Military
Musical Spectacular, ‘Heroes’!”
The grand event brought together over 250 performers, including the Massed
Bands of the Guards Division, the Duchess of Edinburgh’s String Orchestra, the
Massed Pipes and Drums, the Army Cadet Force, and the King’s Troop Royal Horse
Artillery. It also marked 200 years of the Royal Mews, who showcased their
historic horse-drawn coaches and royal vehicles in a special display.
Hours earlier, Anne had been awarded an Honorary Doctorate from a university
in West Yorkshire, further cementing her position as one of the most
hardworking members of the Royal Family.
Royal fans quickly flooded the Palace’s post with admiration. “She is similar
to her Mother! Very dedicated to the Crown and its principles in a great way!”
wrote one commenter. Another simply dubbed her “The Queen”—a term of

alongside Major General James Bowder, reinforcing her continued support for
the armed forces.
Earlier this month, Anne made headlines with a fresh look at the State Banquet
at Windsor Castle. Swapping her signature voluminous updo for a chic twisted
bun, she paired the hairstyle with a flowing ivory gown detailed with lace and
her beloved Festoon Tiara—a piece she’s worn since 1973.
From receiving academic honours to commanding admiration at public events,
