Prince William Shares Thoughts on Princess Kate’s Health Update

Heir to the throne issues powerful message amid growing concerns over
Catherine’s recovery

Kensington Palace has released a video message from Prince William just as
concerns resurface about Princess Catherine’s health, following her sudden
absence from a key royal engagement.

On 20 June, the Prince of Wales introduced a new episode of his docuseries
Guardians, which spotlighted the urgent challenges facing wildlife
conservation in Sri Lanka.

“In Sri Lanka, the enduring relationship between people and elephants feels
more fragile than ever,” William said in the clip. “But rangers like Chinthaka
are working to change that, guiding communities, protecting wildlife and
contributing to scientific understanding of these magnificent giants.”

The episode features Chinthaka and his team undertaking high-risk missions to
aid injured elephants, fit them with GPS collars, and gather critical data to
support human-wildlife coexistence.

“Their work reduces harm to animals while minimising impact on humans and
helps preserve balance in a fragile ecosystem,” a statement from William’s
team noted.

This timely message was issued shortly after Princess Catherine withdrew from
the Royal Ascot at the last minute—a move that stirred public unease. Though
initially listed in the carriage procession, royal officials later clarified
that her inclusion was a clerical error.

Catherine, who has been in remission following a battle with cancer, has
maintained a cautious return to public duties. She last appeared at Garter Day
and Trooping the Colour, both significant markers of her ongoing recovery.

Sources close to the Palace insist that the Princess is closely monitoring her
health and energy levels as she eases back into her royal responsibilities.
