Future King Honours Anti-Bullying Advocate in Late Mother’s Name

Prince William made a heartfelt tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana, during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, where he recognised outstanding individuals for their contributions to society.

The Prince of Wales awarded an OBE to Alex Holmes, deputy CEO of The Diana Award charity, for his lifelong dedication to anti-bullying efforts. Holmes, 36, founded the charity’s anti-bullying initiative to support young people in schools.

Kensington Palace shared images of the ceremony, highlighting William’s recognition of Holmes and two other honourees. Following the event, Holmes expressed his gratitude, calling the moment a “huge honour” and acknowledging the significance of receiving the award from Prince William, given their longstanding collaboration through The Diana Award.
