Prince Harry Probably Won’t Attend King Charles’ Birthday Parade

Duke of Sussex reportedly has no interest in Trooping the Colour spectacle

Prince Harry may have skipped Trooping the Colour for the third year
running—but royal insiders believe he didn’t even bother to watch the event
from afar.

According to former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond, the Duke of Sussex is
unlikely to have tuned in to the King’s official birthday celebrations from
his home in California. “There’s no way Prince Harry will be watching the
ceremony — after all, it will be the middle of the night in California,” Bond
told The Mirror. “I don’t suppose he wastes much time looking at events he is
no longer part of.”

The annual event, held on June 14, featured the traditional military display
and balcony appearance at Buckingham Palace, with senior royals including
Prince William, Princess Anne, and the children all playing a part. However,
Harry and Meghan Markle remain absent from royal engagements following their
2021 exit from official duties.

Their last appearance at Trooping the Colour was during Queen Elizabeth II’s
Platinum Jubilee in 2022, where they were notably positioned away from the
spotlight. Since then, their connection to such events appears increasingly
distant.

“It must be strange to see his whole family on parade… while he lives such a
different life so far away,” Bond reflected, noting how the event signals a
united front within the royal family — one that no longer includes Harry.
