Prince Harry Receives Criticism for Retaining HRH Title Following Royal Departure

Royal Expert Claims Harry Seeks ‘Best of Both Worlds’ with HRH Privileges

Harry may have left his royal duties behind for a new life in Hollywood, but criticism continues over his retention of the HRH title.

Former Home Office minister Norman Baker, speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, accused the Duke of Sussex of benefiting from royal privileges without fulfilling royal responsibilities.

“Harry wants independence from the royal family but still clings to the perks of being an HRH,” Baker remarked. “If he has chosen to leave, he should relinquish the title entirely.”

The debate resurfaced after a recent Sun poll revealed mixed public opinions: 41 percent see Harry and Meghan Markle as celebrities, 19 percent as royals, and 40 percent as commoners.

Since stepping back in 2020, Harry and Meghan have settled in California with their two children. However, the ongoing controversy surrounding their royal status shows no sign of fading.
