Duke of Sussex backs brother’s environmental call amid digital safety
campaign
In a rare moment of unity, the Duke of Sussex echoed the Prince of Wales’
climate concerns during a keynote address at the NEXUS Global Summit in New
York on June 27. Addressing over 350 global leaders, Prince Harry warned that
irresponsible digital practices could undermine progress on pressing global
issues — including climate change.
His remarks came as Prince William championed nature-based solutions during
London Climate Action Week, emphasising nature as the “foundation of life on
Earth” through Earthshot Prize events and Royal Foundation roundtables.
Harry’s speech also tied into his and Meghan Markle’s ongoing mission for
online safety through Archewell. The couple recently launched The Parents
Network and introduced the No Child Lost to Social Media exhibit, both aimed
at supporting families affected by digital harm. He also highlighted Meghan’s
experience with online abuse, calling her “the most trolled person in the
world.”
