Duchess shares playful throwback video as daughter turns four
Meghan Markle marked daughter Lilibet’s fourth birthday with a surprise video
few fans saw coming.
On Wednesday, June 4, the Duchess of Sussex posted a lighthearted throwback
clip to Instagram, showing her and Harry dancing in a maternity ward while she
was heavily pregnant with Lilibet in 2021.
“Four years ago today, this also happened,” Meghan, 43, captioned the clip,
noting that both Archie and Lilibet were born a week past their due dates.
“So when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work — there was
only one thing left to do!” she added, accompanied by a laughing emoji.
The brief clip showed the couple laughing and dancing in hospital scrubs and
socks, trying to coax labour along the old-fashioned way.
The video was part of a series of posts Meghan shared to celebrate Lilibet’s
fourth birthday.
She began the tributes with sweet black-and-white photos of herself and
Lilibet, followed by images of Harry cradling his newborn daughter and another
of the pair walking barefoot along the sand, hand-in-hand.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed Lilibet Diana on 4 June 2021 in
California, two years after stepping back from royal duties. The little royal
was named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana.
