Update on King Charles, William, and Kate’s Heartwarming Garter Day at the Palace

Buckingham Palace delights fans with historic photos and confirmation of
royal attendance

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince
William and Catherine will take part in the annual Garter Day procession at
Windsor Castle, offering a nostalgic nod to royal tradition.

The announcement, made on June 16, was accompanied by rare archival photos of
Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, and other senior royals honouring the
ceremony in previous years.

Excitement is high as Princess Catherine is expected to make a return to the
event after missing it last year due to her cancer treatment. The Palace’s
social media page described the event as one of the “most traditional
ceremonies” in the royal calendar, with participants donning “grand velvet
robes, glistening insignia and plumed hats.”

The Order of the Garter, founded nearly 700 years ago by King Edward III, was
inspired by the legend of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, a
tradition that continues to symbolise royal chivalry today.

This marks the second major public appearance for key royal family members in
recent days, following their reunion at Trooping the Colour on June 14.
