Duchess opens up about family life on podcast as Duke reportedly uneasy
with public exposure
Meghan Markle offered rare glimpses into her home life with Archie and Lilibet
during the premiere episode of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder,
despite reported concerns from Harry about keeping their children out of the
spotlight.
Chatting with her guest and friend, Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, the
Duchess of Sussex recalled a charming cowboy-themed New Year’s Eve memory
involving five-year-old Archie. Meghan said Herd arrived at their Montecito
home in a glittering cowboy outfit before heading to a party, prompting Archie
to ask, “When do I get to see the cowboys again?”
Meghan also spoke briefly about three-year-old Princess Lilibet, sharing that
her daughter still takes naps and attends preschool for only half days.
The personal anecdotes, shared while promoting her podcast and lifestyle brand
As Ever, have reportedly stirred unease behind the scenes. According to royal
editor Matt Wilkinson, Harry is “not overly happy” about the children being
included in Meghan’s promotional efforts and prefers a more private approach.
“She doesn’t want to hide them away,” Wilkinson said on A Right Royal Podcast,
suggesting the couple remain divided on how much of their family life should
be made public.
