Duchess of Sussex calls for unity to protect children from online harm
after NYC ceremony
Meghan Markle released a powerful new video message following King Charles’
major announcement regarding the Royal Family’s upcoming reunion for the 80th
anniversary of VE Day.
Taking to Instagram, the Duchess of Sussex shared an emotional clip from the
Lost Screen Memorial ceremony in New York City — a moving art installation
dedicated to honouring children lost to online harms.
In the heartfelt post, Meghan wrote: “An important and emotional evening last
night in NY as we unveiled #NoChildLostToSocialMedia with parents and families
who have lost their children to online harms.”
She continued, “My husband and I have worked with many of these families for
the last several years, and through The Archewell Foundation and our program
The Parents’ Network, we support them in their grief and stand with them in
their call for action.”
Ending her message with a plea for kindness and positivity, Meghan urged
communities to become a guiding example for the next generation: “Let’s tell
our children that they are enough, and that this life is worth living. And
let’s ensure that no child is lost to social media. With your support, we can
effect change.”
The Duchess’s emotional appeal came just after Buckingham Palace confirmed
King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Kate will reunite
alongside other senior royals for the historic VE Day celebrations — marking a
significant moment of unity for the Royal Family.
