Duke of Sussex Reportedly Issues Firm Warning as Meghan Embraces Public
Life
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who have consistently prioritised protecting
their children, are reportedly at odds over a key parenting issue—how much of
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s lives should be shared with the public.
Despite presenting a unified front through ongoing challenges with the royal
family, insiders say the couple are currently facing one of their most
personal and “divisive” disagreements yet.
Royal commentator Jack Royston told The Sun podcast that the Duke and Duchess
of Sussex may not see eye to eye on their children’s visibility. “I cannot get
away from the feeling that maybe Harry and Meghan feel differently about
whether or not to show the children,” he said.
Since Meghan’s return to social media earlier this year, she has posted
limited glimpses of the children—always with their faces hidden. According to
Royston, that decision reflects Harry’s strict insistence on privacy. “If it
were up to Meghan, she’d likely post their full photos on Instagram and not
worry too much about it,” he added.
Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson echoed the sentiment, revealing that the couple
are having an ongoing “debate” over how publicly their children should be
seen. “Meghan wants to enjoy a billionaire-style celebrity lifestyle in
California, while Harry prefers to maintain a more private life,” he said.
Harry’s concerns stem from his own childhood under constant media scrutiny,
described by Royston as that of “the most famous child face in Britain,
probably the world.” Now, he is reportedly determined to protect Archie and
Lilibet from that same level of exposure—giving them the freedom to decide
whether they want lives in the spotlight or outside of it.
