Palace highlights couple’s vital role and unity with monarch during
Scotland tour
Buckingham Palace has released an official statement and a fresh set of photos
of Prince William and Catherine, appearing to address growing speculation
about their relationship with King Charles III and Queen Camilla.
The update came during the Prince and Princess of Wales’s significant trip to
Scotland, with images shared via the royal family’s official Instagram
account. The Palace’s message clarified the close ties between the monarch and
the couple, underscoring their prominent role within the royal framework.
Referring to them by their Scottish titles, the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay,
the Palace stated: “The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay have been on the Isles of
Mull and Iona this week, spending time with the local community to reflect on
the power of social connection and the importance of protecting the natural
environment.”
Their itinerary included visits to Aros Hall, local artisan markets,
sustainable farming projects at Croft 3, early-years outdoor education groups,
and a trip on a public ferry to the Isle of Iona.
Catherine embraced a refined and earthy-toned look for the engagements,
donning a chic blazer on her final appearance before returning home. The
couple were seen enjoying the outdoors and actively engaging with locals,
reaffirming their connection to both the community and the Crown.
