King Charles and Prince William Concerned for Andrew’s Welfare

Royal family maintains a duty of care as concerns grow over Andrew’s isolation

Reports suggest the family is increasingly worried about Andrew’s emotional state, with royal commentators saying he has grown more withdrawn. Robert Jobson told The Sun that relatives who supported firm action against him still worry about how he is coping. He noted that concerns also extend to the people affected by the Epstein case, stressing that their experiences should remain a priority.

Jennie Bond shared similar observations, saying Andrew has become noticeably isolated. She explained that William and Catherine believe they owe him a basic duty of care, even while keeping some distance. According to her, the wider family shares this view.

Recent coverage also indicates that William played a key role in the decisions that led to Andrew stepping back from public life, with Catherine supporting her husband. These discussions resurfaced as King Charles began a formal process to remove Andrew’s style, titles and honours. He will now go by Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

Andrew’s long-standing lease on Royal Lodge had allowed him to remain there, but formal notice has been issued for him to surrender the property. He is expected to move to private accommodation once the process is complete.
