Catherine Reflects on St. Patrick’s Day Tradition with Heartfelt Message

Princess of Wales resumes royal duty following King Charles’ tribute

Catherine expressed her joy in fulfilling a key royal duty after receiving a
touching recognition from King Charles.

The Princess of Wales made a graceful appearance in a striking green ensemble
on 17 March at Wellington Barracks in London to mark St. Patrick’s Day. Her
return to the ceremony was particularly significant, as she resumed her role
after missing last year’s event due to cancer treatment.

In a video shared by Kensington Palace, Catherine was seen beaming as she
presented traditional sprigs of shamrock to the Officers and Guardsmen of the
Irish Guards. The accompanying message read, “Oh the Shamrock, the green,
immortal Shamrock! From the Emerald Isle to the proud ranks of the Irish
Guards, the shamrock is a symbol of heritage, unity and service.”

Her statement followed a heartfelt nod from King Charles, acknowledging her
dedication as Colonel of the regiment, marking a poignant return to this royal
tradition.
