Catherine shares emotional message about cancer rumors

Princess of Wales confirms she’s doing well following treatment and
ongoing recovery

Catherine, Princess of Wales, has put to rest recent speculation surrounding
her health after missing the second day of Royal Ascot, an absence that
fuelled online rumours about a possible cancer recurrence.

In a moving statement marking Children’s Hospice Week, the future Queen
reaffirmed her commitment to families facing serious childhood illnesses. “No
parent expects to hear that their child has a serious health condition that
could shorten their life,” she wrote, praising hospices for offering
compassionate care and support “through life, death and beyond.”

Her message, shared during the June 16–22 awareness campaign, was widely seen
as a subtle but reassuring update amid concern about her well-being.

A Palace source confirmed Catherine is “doing well while taking care of her
health,” and is “gradually returning to royal duties while giving time to the
projects close to her heart.”

Catherine underwent abdominal surgery in January 2024 and was later diagnosed
with cancer, though the type was not disclosed. She completed her chemotherapy
in September 2024 and is now in remission.

While she continues to focus on her recovery, sources indicate she is
following medical advice closely and avoiding overexertion as she eases back
into public life.
