Young royal’s keen eye on aircraft hints at budding passion for aviation
Prince Louis once again stole the spotlight during this year’s Trooping the
Colour parade — but this time, his attention-grabbing moment came with a
potential clue about his future.
The seven-year-old royal, beloved for his playful energy, was seen waving
cheerfully during the carriage ride with his mother, Catherine, and his
siblings. He later delighted crowds with an extended farewell wave from the
Buckingham Palace balcony.
However, body language expert Judi James noticed a more focused side to Louis
this year. Speaking to The Mirror, she said, “Prince Louis’s body language on
the balcony suggested he’s grown from the playful member of the royal firm
into a fully fledged plane-spotter.”
James observed that Louis carefully watched each aircraft during the RAF
flypast, even turning to Prince William as if to identify them. His father’s
approving nods and Catherine’s proud smiles suggested he had correctly
recognised the planes.
With both William and King Charles having trained as pilots, Louis’s
fascination with the aircraft may hint at a future career path shaped by
family legacy.
