Princess Kate Resumes Royal Duties in Anticipation of Family Reunion

Princess tours innovative new V&A East museum in solo engagement

Princess Kate resumed her public duties on 10 June with a solo visit to East
London’s newly opened V&A East Storehouse, just days before she is set to
join her family for Trooping the Colour.

The visit marked her first official outing since a half-term break with her
children. Touring the Storehouse, which opened to the public on 31 May, the
Princess explored its unique, barrier-free exhibits designed to bring visitors
closer to Britain’s cultural treasures.

“Great to see these incredible collections are now accessible to everyone,
allowing us to enjoy our nation’s exceptional talent and history,” read a
message shared via the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram
account.

Wearing an Alexander McQueen blue suit, Catherine met with Senior Curator Dr
Georgia Haseldine and Deputy Director Tim Reeve to learn more about the
museum’s collection and conservation efforts.

A long-standing advocate for the arts, the Princess studied Art History at St
Andrews University, where she met Prince William.
