Prince William and Princess Catherine React to Receiving TIME100 Philanthropy Honor

Kensington Palace shares first statement from royal couple following
prestigious U.S. recognition

Prince William and Princess Catherine have made their first public statement
after being named to the 2025 TIME100 Philanthropy list, a rare and
significant joint honor recognising their dedication to modernising royal
charity work.

Kensington Palace released the couple’s message shortly after they represented
King Charles at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party, saying:

“Lovely to meet so many inspiring guests from all over the UK at today’s
Garden Party!”

The honor comes as the Prince and Princess of Wales continue to step further
into their roles as future monarchs. In its tribute, TIME magazine noted how
the pair are “less concerned with cultural preservation and more attuned to
social issues,” citing their efforts to address homelessness, rural mental
health, and climate innovation through initiatives like the Royal Foundation
and Earthshot Prize.

William’s environmental award, launched in 2020, and Catherine’s Shaping Us
campaign on early childhood development, were both praised for bringing
forward-thinking solutions to long-standing issues.

The recognition also contrasts with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who
appeared on the TIME100 list in 2021 but were not included this year. Meghan
Markle, however, recently made headlines for her appearance at the TIME100
Summit in New York, where she discussed her business ventures.

As global attention shifts to the evolving face of the monarchy, William and
Catherine’s strategic focus on social impact continues to earn them
international acclaim.
