TIME100 Honours Prince William and Catherine, Excludes Harry and Meghan

Waleses praised for modernising royal philanthropy while Sussexes miss out
on latest list

Prince William and Catherine have been named to the 2025 TIME100 Philanthropy
list, a recognition of their forward-thinking approach to charitable work —
while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were notably excluded.

The Prince and Princess of Wales were hailed as pioneers in “modernising royal
philanthropy,” with TIME commending their emphasis on social impact over
tradition. Their initiatives on mental health, homelessness, and environmental
sustainability were spotlighted as examples of how they’re aligning social
priorities with innovative strategies.

William’s Earthshot Prize, now in its fifth year, was celebrated for offering
£50 million in grants to promote planet-saving solutions. Meanwhile,
Catherine’s Shaping Us campaign and Early Childhood Business Taskforce were
praised for reshaping how early development is supported in the workplace.

“Prince William and Catherine are less concerned with cultural preservation
and more attuned to social issues,” the magazine noted.

By contrast, Harry and Meghan, who previously made the TIME100 list in 2021
for their advocacy and philanthropic work, did not receive recognition this
year — a noticeable omission as the couple continues to position themselves as
global changemakers.
