Update on King Charles and Queen Camilla’s Visit to Canada House by Buckingham Palace

Royals mark 100 years of Canada House as William and Catherine host
Buckingham Palace Garden Party

Buckingham Palace has shared a celebratory update on King Charles and Queen
Camilla’s recent engagement at Canada House, marking a century since its
official opening in London.

While the Prince and Princess of Wales led a vibrant Garden Party at
Buckingham Palace alongside younger royals, Their Majesties paid a historic
visit to the Canadian High Commission.

“Happy 100 years to Canada House!” the Palace announced, highlighting that the
King was ceremonially presented with a replica key—symbolising the same
gesture made to King George V in 1925 during the original opening.

The visit comes just ahead of the King and Queen’s planned trip to Ottawa next
week, underscoring continued ties between the monarchy and Canada.

Canada House holds deep symbolic value as a unified representation of Canada
in the UK. Notably, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a visit there in
January 2020—just a day before announcing their decision to step back from
royal duties.
