Monarch, also battling illness, offers private support following
devastating US announcement
King Charles III has expressed heartfelt sympathy following the news of former
US President Joe Biden’s diagnosis with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
The King, who is currently undergoing treatment for his own undisclosed
cancer, reportedly wrote a personal letter to Biden to offer support during
this difficult time.

Royal commentator Rebecca English confirmed the monarch’s gesture on social
media, stating: “King Charles is writing privately to Joe Biden following the
news of his cancer diagnosis.”
The announcement from Biden’s office revealed that the 81-year-old was
diagnosed with a high-grade prostate cancer that has metastasised to the bone.
Though considered aggressive, doctors noted the cancer is hormone-sensitive,
making it manageable with the right treatment.
The news comes as Biden, who recently ended his bid for re-election amid
growing health concerns, steps back from political life. King Charles’
personal outreach reflects a shared understanding between the two leaders,
both now navigating public life while contending with serious health
challenges.
