Prince Harry speaks out on youth empowerment amidst royal silence

Duke of Sussex steps out in Las Vegas after King Charles appears to ignore peace offer

Prince Harry made a significant public appearance just days after his emotional bid to reconcile with the royal family was reportedly overlooked by King Charles.

The Duke of Sussex attended ‘The Knowledge’ event in Las Vegas, hosted by The Diana Award, where he championed the vital role of business investment in nurturing young leaders. The panel, as reported by Sussex.com, featured Dr. Tessy Ojo CBE, CEO of The Diana Award, Paul Fipps of ServiceNow, and Diana Award honourees Christina Williams and Sonny Khan.

During the event, Harry issued a call to action, urging policymakers to create more inclusive and accessible opportunities for young people. “We’ve failed to build truly inclusive and accessible pathways,” he said, reflecting on his years of engagement with youth through The Diana Award.

He praised the resilience and innovation of the younger generation, saying they were already leading with emotional intelligence and a refreshing openness about mental health.

Prince Harry Delivers Powerful Youth Message Amid Royal Silence

“They’re not waiting for permission to lead,” Harry said. “What sets them apart isn’t just their boldness, but their refusal to settle for the status quo… If we’re serious about a better future, we need to stop underestimating them and start listening.”

Continuing his late mother Princess Diana’s legacy, the Duke emphasised the need to provide young people with the tools to succeed in today’s world.

His address followed a recent interview in which he voiced his desire to make peace with his family in the UK, describing life as “precious” and too short to harbour grudges—especially amid King Charles’ battle with cancer.

Despite this heartfelt olive branch, Buckingham Palace has offered no response. The monarch and senior royals went ahead with VE Day’s 80th anniversary celebrations, making no reference to Harry’s remarks or his efforts to reconnect.
