Princess of Wales urged to act as peacemaker amid growing royal tensions
Prince Harry, once reportedly “devastated” by the breakdown of his relationship with Catherine, formerly shared a warm and affectionate bond with his sister-in-law before stepping away from royal duties in 2020.
The Princess of Wales is now believed to be the only senior royal capable of easing the ongoing tensions between the Duke of Sussex and King Charles. Before their fallout, the Waleses and the Sussexes were widely celebrated as the ‘Fab Four.’ However, their unity crumbled following Harry’s explosive memoir Spare and Meghan Markle’s sharp criticism of the monarchy in their Netflix series.
According to royal insiders, Catherine has privately expressed a desire to serve as a “peacemaker,” particularly in hopes of restoring peace between her husband, Prince William, and Harry. Her recent battle with cancer has reportedly deepened her reflections on the value of family and the fragility of time spent with loved ones.
Calls have grown louder among royal fans for Catherine to help reunite father and son, especially after Harry’s emotional BBC interview, where he warned of the lasting damage caused by their estrangement.
Following a major legal defeat, Harry—father of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet—voiced a willingness to reconcile. But royal commentator Charlotte Griffiths argued that his public appeal could have the opposite effect, deepening the divide rather than healing it.
Speaking to GB News, Griffiths called the move “absolutely foolish,” adding, “It would have really upset the King and everyone at the Palace. It’s the surest way to not speak to his father again.”
