Prince Harry Arrives at London Court for Security Appeal, Flashing Victory Sign

Duke of Sussex appears confident as legal battle with Home Office resumes

Harry appeared upbeat and confident as he arrived at London’s Royal Courts of Justice to challenge a decision to downgrade his security during visits to the UK.

The Duke of Sussex was photographed arriving in a black Range Rover, surrounded by cameras and photographers. He smiled and flashed a victory sign, signalling optimism ahead of the crucial two-day hearing.

The appeal comes in response to a ruling that upheld the Home Office’s decision to alter his security arrangements, initially made by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures in February 2020.

Harry has long maintained that he and his family do not feel safe in the UK without official police protection. He argues that his children cannot “feel at home” in his country of birth unless those measures are reinstated.

His return to London on Sunday marked the beginning of this latest legal push, as he seeks to overturn the previous ruling and restore the level of protection he once received as a working royal.
